IBIS Hotel Basel, Switzerland (Central Train Station)

We were staying with a group of 6 people during the past week in Basel Switzerland and booked the IBIS Hotel close to the central train station.

IBIS in combination with train station in general works for me like a cold shower but this hotel was a very pleasant surprise.

It has been completely renovated and was very comfortable to stay at. Clean and well taken care of. The staff was courteous and competent - the swiss way ! ^

The price was 129 CHF for a weekday, I'm sure sometimes they have offers. All other hotels were about double that rate and since it was more a fun trip and a short layover during a Mileage Run we were opting for the IBIS.

Breakfast was not included in Rate but available for 13.90 CHF. Internet free in lobby and against a fee in the room. No benefits for A-Club Gold membership (what a surprise

).
