Transpacific Woes & Transfer to NWA
I just spoke to my travel agent and she finally voiced her unhappiness at reserving my frequent AA transpacific flights. All daily flights through NRT, from mid-June, for example, onward to DFW/SJC are packed full, and new AA rules do not allow for waitlisting. We failed to reserve any flights onward to YUL. These woes are not uncommon.
She finally suggested KLM which flies directly to YUL through AMS. Fares offered are also very closely comparable to AA's latest (high) fares. AA has truly lost its edge in Asia with their latest high fares and strict rules, it's really a pity as I used to be proud to say "I fly only AA".
Main question: For those with experience on both ends, how does WorldPerks compare to AAdvantage? I fly US East Coast to Asia at least twice a year, and several times to Europe. How does the WorldPerks Elite program compare to AA's?
