As of June 15, 2002, AAdvantage members traveling on American Airlines between the U.S. and Central America can move up to Business Class using electronic upgrades. Previously, electronic upgrades were valid only within and between the U.S., The Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, the Caribbean and Mexico.
