I'm curious - does anyone know how a free nights after X stays and a miles promo will interact or will they operate in a mutually exclusive fashion?

The reason I ask is that I have 2 such promos signed up on my account:
1. The Delta 5K miles after ever other stay promo which required me to switch to miles earning before I signed up.
2. A free Category 1-4 night for every 3rd Stay + $50 Hertz coupon promo I got in the mail. The online sign up link wouldn't let me in but they signed me up on the phone.

Both are showing on my account promos.

Will both operate in either a miles or point earning mode or will it be mutually exclusive where 1 works when I'm earning miles and the other when I'm earning points?
