I recant my earlier statement, I was viewing incorrect seat maps. If I search for 6 ppl, the flights which have less than six are now available to purchase, thus you are correct on the accuracy of the maps.

Flt 225 does not have a seat map, but it does let me reserve 6 seats, and the folks at FL say it's pretty open.
