Disney generally gives the best deals when staying at their resort, eating all of their meals, and doing everything onsite with them.
Disney tickets are not discounted if you're on a package. They always get cheaper as you keep adding days. I have also seen a current promotion with one of the major ticket broker agencies that sell you a 6 day ticket for the price of a 4 day ticket.

I don't do the meal plan because I don't like to spend my time "dining." If I do, I go to the signature restaurants (and pay_ because they take 2 credits and people on the meal plan won't go. Plus, I seriously question their 30% off number. Perhaps it's 30% off the most expensive meal in the most expensive restaurant, but in many cases, you save a bit, but not a whole lot.

As for the gift card, they haven't offered one in a while. Perhaps it's for Canadians.

That said, the FT of Disney is www.disboards.com.
