Yeah, a fully refundable, wholly unused ticket should be available for a refund for up to one year from the date of purchase at which point all tickets surrender any remaining value. Canceling in advance when you know you won't make it is probably appreciated but, if you just won't know for sure, then don't stress over any time limit, that's the benefit of buying full flex!
