TA is big business.. Not surprised that hotels are resorting to tactics to shore up the reviews.. I dunno, is Trip Advisor succumbing to pressure from hotels. They usually don't have advertising, but offer to check rates for the consumer directly off of their website.

Hopefully TA can withstand the tactics.. it is sure a valuable tool.. and here at FT, but in a different way.
