Since I know how to read and paperbacks are relatively available in my part of the country, and since I can live without the internet for up to 4 hours at a time without getting the DT's, I really don't give a rip about IFE and WIFI.

I like the DC-9 (of course, I have never been behind row 5 on one)... so I agree with the merits of the larger number of FC seats.

They seem to be a bit noisier, but they are good, solid aircraft.

Of course, DL Management (as part of their continued focus on customer service...) is increasingly replacing the DC series with regional jets (sometimes the CRJ200s and EMB145s) on routes between podunk rural towns... little out of the way burgs with airports that cannot handle mainline jets... like DTW, MDW, MEM and PHL.

Its all part of their long range plan to convince PAX of the benefits for seeking elite status.
