Lots of large MNCs seem to have international mobility programs, or international transfer programs. My company has both - and every performance review time, staff are asked if they are interested in international assignments/transfers/business travel.

I'm on my 2nd assignment, but am now looking at my 3rd (which would effectively replace current business travel I'm doing).

If you have a rare or useful skillset, or are very very good at your job, most likely there is plenty of opportunity to work in remote offices where skills are needed.

Surprisingly there are a lot of people in the world who don't want (or can't) to move or travel, and depending on the job profile companies often appreciate highly mobile staff. It's been mentioned to me several times that my international mobility is appreciated because many others won't do it...
