With the merger, I am looking at migrating to AA, but feel stuck with CO because of my Gold status.

Anyone had any luck in getting their CO elite status matched by AA? Did AA transfer the CO mileage into Aadvantage mileage, one to one? Did they honor the CO Gold status by granting similar elite status in Aadvantage? If forced into a challenge by AA, how many miles were required to meet the challenge?

It seems to me that AA should be inviting to those CO elites like me not happy with the UA merger, by making it easy and painless for us to migrate.

One last thing. Anyone able and willing to compare the IAH-SFO CO route to the DFW-SFO AA route, as far as pricing, convenience, service, planes, etc.?
The wisdom of this board is that AA does not do status match, except through your corporate travel.

AA status challenge info is here:

Your OnePass miles will remain with CO.
