Any plans to bring back the NW on-time departure policy? Where no matter what, the gate of all aircraft closes 15 minutes prior to departure time, so that the flights can depart on time (and often early)? Right now obviously Delta has no such policy and hence is rather lacking in the on time departures.

At NW the policy was draconian, but worked really well. E.g. T-15 arriving at gate, just seeing it shut in front of my eyes - though there were some 20 other connecting passengers all arriving between T-15 and T-10: yet NW decided to let plane go out early (left at T-8) by shutting the door at T-15 firm (and then not having enough alt. flights to accommodate the pax on the same day) vs. wait a few minutes until T-10 or so to close gates and get all pax onboard and still depart on time. It really did always (when arriving flight was not late or such) close at T-15 firm, starting boarding properly 30-40-50 min in advance to complete it by T-15.
