I always check out prices at both Maui and Big Island.. and seems I always end up with Alamo 7 times in the past 7 years. I guess saving a couple extra hundred bucks is important to me.. they provide roadside assistance.

Not always with its troubles. Seems like something usually wrong (i.e. cruise control gone), dog hair not vacuumed.. Even this last time in Hawaii, battery was weak so had to boost the van 3 times.. brutal, but they did come around with a new van at the Fairmont Orchid where we stayed.

I guess the service is there, and seems Alamo owns up to their breakdowns. Will use them again.
