I'm in the construction industry. We use a wide range of skills in just about every specialty (accounting, HR, IT, Sales, etc...) but are especially heavy on engineers. I've been living abroad on and off for the last thirty years on several continents. Granted, many of the places have not been big tourist destinations, but I see two weeks off for travel after an average of ten weeks of working. Along with the two weeks vacation comes a liberal allowance for air travel to where ever I want to go.
There are worse ways to make a living, and the pay is far above average.
