I'm sure mine repeat - but here goes:

1) Best FA's in the business. Very nice service.
2) First class international. Sure, not lay down flat, but very comfortable anyway. Food was very good. First flights to NRT on the MD11 had Kobe beef prepared MR, Med and Well, just in case someone wanted that way!
3) Caviar and Tiffany gifts. Got dozens of those tiffany gifts, and gave away most of them.
4) Great City Ticket offices. I used the one in Palo Alto the most.
5) Upgrades used to "pay you" to upgrade. Upgrades cost 2500 miles and if you flew to the west coast, you got double miles - net positive.
6) Free use of on board phone to access Delta reservations.
7) Special medalion awards: 75K miles for two to Hawaii in First class!
8) Relatively easy to find award seats.
9) Could upgrade on AF, u.pgrades on DL were easy

Basically, all this is gone now. Sure the BE seats are good (not as wide as old first class), but everything else - sigh.

Billy

PS if you get a chance , try LH first class. A lot like the old Delta. And the FC lounge in Frankfurt - well - it's everything you could possibly ask for exept for a SPA/massage.
