You can not exchange your Ctrip point into AM. Use AM card to book with Ctrip can only earn points on hotels. No points would be given on flights or packages. There is big difference between Ctrip points and AM miles. You get 1 AM with every 10 RMBY spent. And you get 2 Ctrip points if you are Ctrip basic members and book online for every RMBY spending (which means 20 points per 10 RMBY when book online with Ctrip as Ctrip member).
So if i used my amex cx elite card to pay for the hotel i booked at crowne (500 RMB=2500 NT) and so i've earned 100 points with my amex cards, maybe 200 AM since it's an overseas transaction. But where does the ctrip points come in then?
Indeed RMB10 = 1 AM, but that point is on my ctrip account and stated as Ctrip points. I have to convert it somehow no?
When i check-in at crowne i do get another 500 AM right (said so on the asiamiles website)
