I woke up the other night at 1am in my room at the Westin Michigan Avenue (not upgraded) to find my end of hall room enveloped in pot smoke. I could have been in a Berkeley dormitory, it was pretty bad. Was coming from room next door or across the hall, was tough to tell.

There was some noise from the hall but not the level where I'd complain. If it was just regular smoke, I would have just complained because I know security would probably have told them to put out their cigarettes and maybe the guests would at worst, been hit with a cleaning fee. However, I was concerned that if I called down to report the obnoxious amount of smoke, that someone could/would be arrested and I honestly didnt want to do that to a complete stranger/strangers.

Not that I ever really expect that to happen again, but just wondering what anyone else would have done in this situation.
