I just flew FM a few days ago, and I collected UA miles for it, as confirmed by my UA MP account summary online. How long that will last is unknown, since the merger with MU (Skyteam) makes this uncertain.

Was my first time on FM, and I would have to say, both the outbound and return, the equipment seemed pretty old and tired. Service was about on par with any other mainland China airline.

Oh, and I missed my original outbound FM flight by 15 mins, as I forgot to bring proper documentation, and had to go get it. Pray that you never miss a flight on FM, it's a royal pain to get onto a later flight. Their ground staff has a "Not my problem, not my job" attitude, and you will be kicked around like a football, with a different counter for each function required to rebook you, a grand total of 5 different counters, and it has to be done outside, they don't have any systems to rebook inside the secure area. And, you have to upgrade to a full fare ticket, and pay the difference.
