I don't understand why people don't think about the massive environmental impact the terrible holding patterns over LHR! They could build a 3rd runway and then legislate a cap on utilisation, which should therefore be able to reduce holding patterns and plane taxing time.

Oh well.. looks like we'll have to continue putting up with all the waiting on the ground and in the air...
