I flew JAL new F (which is now available on ORD-NRT) last summer and it was *excellent*. The Tempur pedic mattress is wonderful and is more comfortable than some hotel beds (IMO). I've seen nothing but rave reviews from everyone else who's tried it.

The service -- food, amenities, etc. -- is top notch, as almost everyone on FT seems to agree. In contrast, I've seen a large number of complaints on the CX forum about cut-backs in F service, F staffing, etc. I haven't tried CX so can't compare directly, but just based on FT posts it seems most people who've tried the new F are more satisfied with JL.
