My experience is the opposite. I am not a tourist. I have been all over the area on business and visiting friends, often in cars from these hotels, and had great service and amazing knowledge of all the good routes to avoid traffic.
It's really not tourists that stay at the hotels I mentioned. It is business people. And in the case of the HI, a heck of a lot of air crews.
