For what reason would you ever want two accounts? It sounds like this second account has been open for a while, if you are sending goldpoints conversions into the account, as well as receiving monthly credit card postings. The rules prohibit more than one AAdvantage account - if the second account was created in error (like by Citibank), it sounds to me that you should have closed it as soon as the problem occurred. I wouldn't blame AAdvantage for making sure there was no fraud involved here.
