There are loads of options to fly to Bangkok from HKG.
Apart from CX and TG, you have Emirates, Kenya Airways, Indian Airlines, Gulf Air, Air Asia and Ethiopian Airlines.
They (Indian Airlines and Gulf Air) don't serve this sector. The ones that do serve are: Bangkok Airways, Cathay Pacific, China Airlines, Emirates, Ethiopian Airlines, Kenya Airways, Orient Thai Airlines, Pakistan International Airlines, Royal Jordanian, SriLankan Airlines, Thai AirAsia, Thai Airways International.
Also consider booking a return ticket but not using the HKG-BKK sector (usually return is cheaper than oneway).
