I did spent about 30 minutes playing with both the Legend and Desire at HK retail shop; they were both like "WOW". Snappy, very bright clear display, relatively intuitive. This was the first time I've ever gotten hands on to either a HTC and/or Android OS - very impressive.

When I fly home this weekend, will decide whether to wait a little longer - see what the 'new iPhone' or to buy the Nexus One.

I did hear back from another forum that the Nexus One can be re-flash with the Desire ROM (go thru XDA-Developers dot com) to update to Sense UI? Anyone familiar with this hack?
