As to experience I have been flying that route for about 15 years (back to when it was a 3-class 767-200 before they retired them).
A few years ago a 744 was used in the summer months, making for a nice ride in the UD. Also for a couple of years, the winter months were downgraded to a 2-class, safe for the holidays. I do not recall the 767-200 used, except as a spare. But sometimes it was a 763. Up until their retirement the -200s duty were the LAX/SFO-JFK runs, followed by the 757 p.s.
