Highly unlikely. I used to date a professional footballer and drinking on their way to matches was a strict no no. They are expected to maintain a thoroughly professional and respectful manner at all times when on official tours (yes I know there have been moments when this hasn't happened in the past). But on a 12 hour flight with all the management, officials and everyone else associated with the team I'd be surprised if the players had more than one glass of wine or spirits.

Unfortunately, as we've seen all too often, it's the fans that like to be boozing excessively. One reason why I'd never travel VS upper class - tacky, tacky, tacky.
