When you buy a luggage allowance at the time of purchasing the ticket you can buy an allowance for either 15kg, 20kg, 25kg or 30kg. As it is silent on number of pieces, if anything I would say that "Buying extra baggage allowance at the time of ticketing increases the weight allowance but NOT the number of bags you can check." It clearly increases the weight allowance.
I think I will do 2 X 20 kg, 2 X10 Kg just to be safe. I emailed them and the answer was a little vague. Although they did say you can bring more than one luggage, the rep did not mention about combining weights. I don't want to be caught with 1 bag 10kg over if I did 3X20kg
