Being over 5,000 miles away, I didn't know there was so much organized opposition to the new runway. Surprising that they've also ruled out expansion at Gatwick and Stanstead, too, though I've always been under the impression, when I have flown either BA or AA from LGW in prior years, that they still had plenty of capacity at Gatwick without adding new runways.
