LHR: Third Runway For Heathrow Scrapped By New UK Gov't. May 2010

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/8678282.stm

Plans for a third runway at London's Heathrow Airport have been scrapped by the new government....The new government said it would also refuse any additional runways at Gatwick and Stansted airports.
Perhaps this belongs in the News forum...posted it here for now as a hedzup to AA flyers traveling to/from/thru London. I'm sure I'm not the only one gettting weary of the traffic problems at Heathrow, largely due to the "world's busiest airport" only having two runways.....
