I don't think you can really say the deals 'originate' with hotdealsuk or paidtoshop.
Given that, the argument for 'credit' for the 'find' is limited at best. Especially when the sites in question are competitors (for that is what they are). That's just the nature of being in the online forum/comunity sector.
The trouble with MSE is that it is now too big, and because of that will (and I would say, is) loosing a lot of influence and credibility.
Most of their deals are just standard onetime signup offers they obviously think are necessary just to fund their operation.
