Im the context of one of those grotesque and kafkaesque check-in experiences with Air France - they have become rarer, but still happen (and I'll spare you the details) - the lady at the CKI counter told me that I could have reserved my seat assignment at the moment of purchase already.
This was for a domestic flight at discounted Eco fare with "family" discount, the infant was part of the reservation (thus no OLCI) and I am FB Platinum. Would it be virtue of any of these elements that I could have picked seat assignments at the moment of purchase? Never heard of that possibility before.
Any insights?
