Hi all,

I'm thinking about using some orphaned UA miles that are about to expire for an award to Mongolia. I'm going to be in HKG in July and looking to take a side trip somewhere in Asia and Mongolia seems to be the best use of my miles. only 20K in Y. I know Air China flies there from PEK, however, im trying to go there during the naandam festival which is a national holiday period. has anyone successfully redeemed on this route for travel during the festival period? I called today obviously with no luck. just trying to see if i can find out how much of a chance i have at getting this award...or maybe Air China blacks out the awards for this route during the festival?(asked but the agent didn't say/see anything) Looks like there's only one way to get there...so keeping my fingers crossed.
