Anyone "in the know" about Trip Advisor knows that many (repeat: many) of the reviews are bogus.

I don't even consider a hotel review on TA from anyone with under 4 contributions, except for factual information (i.e. "The hotel is two blocks from a bus stop."). I don't have a link to it, but I know there is more than one thread on TA itself with discussion about fake reviews.
