Never mind the reason, but is it possible to book myself two itineraries that have some flights in common? The flights in question are mixed LH/UA. I plan to change one of them before departure (and use both tickets eventually), but don't know which yet.

Would it be easier/harder if I didn't include my MP number in the 2nd reservation?
