Here's an article about the SAT service. That sure is a strange flight number. Sounds like a charter etc.
May have just been a placeholder flight number. JFK-SAT schedules have been loaded on delta.com. JFK-SAT will be DL2567 and SAT-JFK will be DL2566.

Interesting that SAT will have an A319 while both DFW and IAH will continue to be on CRJ900s!
