Actually, this is more or less only a resumption of past service as Delta offered NS service between JFK and SAT for a while a few years ago......on E170s operated by Shuttle America.

I clearly remember flying on this nonstop flight in late 2005 since it was my first flight on this type of 'regional jet'......as these Embraers quickly became my favorite 'small jet'.

It's nice to see it come back even if only a single flight per day.......but with mainline equipment this time.

Hopefully it does better this time....

Personally, I really don't like the rather late departure time from NYC.....
