Especially if this is a stay that you will still get the 2500 bonus points with the surpass card on.

I booked the Hilton in Windsor, ONT for a stay in June last week with a prepay rate and have a credit union VISA that charges no foreign currency transaction fee (and I only use it for foreign transactions), but figured I was still better off paying the foreign transaction fee.

Even if the hilton points are only worth 1/2 cent each you are better off using the surpass card instead of another credit card even if the transaction fee is 4%. Valuing a point at .50 cents means a $4.50 for every $100 charged at a hilton on the surpass card and would amount to $4 in fees if the surchage is 4% (I think it's only 3% on Am Ex). Combined with the bonus 500 to 2,500 bonus points, I figure it's worth it to use the Surpass card for the hilton charges and my creidt union visa for the other charges.
