Yes, they are in service but not for long. JL has 8 74D, as for NH has 10 of them. JL already announced phase out entire 747 fleet completely. ITM is one of the airport ban 4 engines plane, and more airports in Japan are soon to follow. Basically 74D are left to used on mostly HND-CTS and HND-OKA.

Btw, 747 SR are long retired, those in the fleet are called 747-400D.

There are no markets outside Japan currently needed to fly 2x 77W daily. If it is codeshare, SQ already have plenty of 380, and they are still delivering. Of course NH can codeshare, but that is not the topic.
