Is there a limit as to how far in advance a bag can be checked? I usually carry on but am going to be forced to check a bag for a very early flight. I am staying near the airport for a park and fly.

Can you check your bag the night before? Or is there a limit as to how far out a bag can be check? The liens at DTW can be long in the morning for security and I would rather avoid waiting in another line to check my bag
