So apparently USAir has upgraded their software in the past two weeks to comply with the new TSA rules for them actually checking middle names, etc. Until two weeks ago, I was able to use my credit card to check in. Suddenly it no longer works. The brilliant folks at USAir software strike again. The work around is to just type in the locator code. This works but it is a pain. I fail to see how it is any different for me to put in a locator code when my name may or may not match my ID as using a credit card with my name on it but not my whole middle name. TSA theoretically checks them at security anyway. If it is a matter of bouncing off the no fly list, the use of my locator number simply bypasses any name check. I am really missing why they are doing this. Of course it could just be a bug like on the web site which is perpetually broken.

I work for a software company and if we had as many bugs as USAir, people would be fired no questions asked.
