I'm currently on business in London (from NYC) on a flight & hotel package. Couldn't upgrade from WTP to Club on the package but there wasn't any availability anyway (I checked). First time I've done a package like this. If I remember correctly I saved $300 based on buying flight & hotel separately on BA website.

Added bonus - I was originally booked to fly to London during the volcano ash storm a couple of weeks ago and with one quick call (phone answered in less than 5 minutes) the dates were changed. Simple & straight forward.

First time for three years that I haven't been able to get a MFU to Club between New York & London. I hope that MFU's will be available in the future on these packages.
