Quite right, terribly sorry! I am terrible at tracking things in these forums, its so busy!
I believe the earlier *wood cancellation policy was due to the airlines cancelling-- not merely the fact that 'ash' was nearing or over the city. If your flight has not been cancelled for next week, I would imagine it would be up to the hotel itself, if it wanted to extend a courtesy or 'free' cancellation to you.
Well, I guess my flights to europe or to Paris could be cancelled. I will review the other post. We can hope for the best.
