last year in the summer jet was offering a great inr 137k business fare from delhi/mumbai - ny....the cancellation charge was inr 25k....even for plats....the interesting bit was that jet would charge inr 10k for a no-show....so if you had to cancel, it would have been better to just not show up for the flight....
They had to match LH's fares - normally 134.5-138k, but usually around 137k.
However, I still see such stupidity in their current fare rules in Y - 7k for cancellation and less (5k) for not showing...
