The last 757 I was on had a metal wire "gate" installed between the passenger cabin and the galley/front washroom/cockpit. Every time the cockpit door was opened -- other than at boarding and deboarding -- the gate was drawn and locked so nobody could enter the "restricted" zone. Never seen this one before!
