Not to be an I told you so kind of person, but in the AA Advantage thread on Feb 24th I insisted that Delta would get two awards and they would be DTW & LAX and AA would get JFK and CO would be left out. It's a big surprise however that UA was left out.
Anyway, this is fantastic news.
Your destinations are on the dot for sure, no pun intended. SFO is a stronger hub and O&D market than SEA, and should be a satisfactory gateway to the west. In line with my reasoning that an immunized CO/UA should get one award, CO will get no award. AA will get JFK, which is its number 1 priority. DL will get DTW and LAX -- DTW as a great distribution center to the east coast and midwest, Delta proposes use of the largest aircraft to LAX in the largest O&D market (outside Hawaii), and interalliance competition is fair and balanced.
