The Benefits guide for Jet Privilege states that Plats are not charged cancellation fees but there's a * that also mentions that it is only on published fares. Does that mean that Check and non-refundable fares will not qualify for this waiver?

If so, do they waive it anyways as a gesture? Any personal experiences?
