Seat comfort in economy class has been steadily decreasing for as long as I can remember. It is all about saving weight and space, everything else is apparently irrelevant.
KL is not the only airline following this path of course, but I do find their 777 economy seats particularly uncomfortable, mainly because of the "fixed lumbar support", which is simply a bar across the seatback. The seatback cover is so thin that you can actually grip this bar between your thumb and index finger. One KL 777 economy flight was enough. Never again.
KL's C class seats? Dumbest investment they made in several decades.
