I too have been HH Diamond for a long time, but also Marriott Plat plus some others. The HH consistency problems are well documented in numerous threads, including the unintegrated acquisitions in the UK and elsewhere, the botched merger of HH and HI and on and on. Still I use HH for the same reasons stueys does. Marriott has been far poorer in every category other than points redemption, in which they all have been good.

Basically SPG has a better bedside manner, as it were, but they haven't enough properties to be exclusive for me. Nobody does, so I still have four active programs now all with elite status (SPG just matched me). That won't change but SPG is my emotional favorite.
