Anyone have experience with Marriott's "Weekend Access" incentive awards? I have to choose a recognition award from our company's incentive partner (OC Tanner), and one of the ones to choose from is a "Marriott Weekend Access Level 1" award:

Weekend Access Awards includes accommodations and applicable room taxes. Requires a Friday or Saturday night stay. Accommodations are limited and subject to availability at time of reservation. Choose a participating Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Renaissance Hotels, Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn by Marriott, Fairfield Inn by Marriott, SpringHill Suites by Marriott and TownePlace Suites by Marriott locations in the contiguous U.S., Canada and Mexico. Valid for 15 months.

However, even though the "terms and conditions" above state the award is good for locations in the US, Canada, and Mexico, when you look at the hotel list, there are no locations in Canada, but there are also several locations in other countries outside North America. Just wondering if anyone has had experience in using these? Does the hotel list supercede the locations pointed out in the terms and conditions? Is the availability the same as a regular Marriott Rewards award stay? Thanks.
