I was hoping that is what they would give me when I emailed and asked for Gold comp. I was not expecting them to come back with the Diamond challenge since I did not ask for that.

I responded and asked if they would allow me to do a fast track to gold after 4 stays, with a backdate to a few weeks ago. I have not heard back yet, but am guessing they reject my proposal since they just offered me a Diamond FT challenge.

I accidentally sent two emails the other day to Hilton, because I received an error on the first one and was not sure if it went through. I received two separate responses, within 10 minutes (guess they really do answer in the order they receive them), from different people. One was the offer for Diamond FT offer that explicitly said because of the FT offer they would not comp my status based on my Hyatt status and the other said if I wish to be considered for a comp please send my Hyatt stay information to them via mail or fax.

I do not feel like sending them my entire Hyatt history (i.e. where I was and when), but rather I just emailed them a copy of my Hyatt card.

I also mentioned that my sig-o received free gold a few weeks ago and that I would much prefer to put our mutual trips on my account as opposed to her because she does not travel that much. That fell on deaf ears.

In addition to a few domestic trips, I've got Prague and Croatia coming up and was really looking forward to the executive lounge at the Prague Hilton. If the comp doesn't come through, I may just stay at smaller, nicer, independent properties.
